Amazon Bedrock – what is it?

Amazon Bedrock is a managed platform for working with generative artificial intelligence models that provides access to various foundation models via APIs without the need to deploy or manage infrastructure. In the Amazon implementation, Amazon Bedrock enables integration of language, multimodal, and other AI models into applications through a unified access point and standard security and control mechanisms, including access policies, auditing, and data encryption.

In practical scenarios, AWS Bedrock is used to build chatbots, generate content, analyze data, and develop AI services in cloud environments. The platform supports integration with enterprise data, the use of RAG approaches, and model access management, enabling the development of scalable solutions without deep involvement in compute resource management, as well as rapid testing and comparison of different models within a single infrastructure.
