The VCR service allows Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Agent users to place their backups in a trusted cloud of the leading Ukrainian IaaS provider De Novo. The VCR has very simple settings, and is built into the Veeam console.
The application landscape backup stored in the cloud repository can be quickly deployed in the De Novo cloud, allowing you to use this service as a simple and effective Disaster Recovery solution. In this case, payment for computing resources of the cloud is made only at the time of deployment of a copy of the applied landscape, i.e. in the case of a real large-scale accident.
VCR REPOSITORY ARCHITECTURE
In terms of Veeam Backup & Replication, the VCR service is another repository in which data is "stored". For example, you create a Backup Job on your local repository, thus providing protection against minor local crashes, and a Backup Copy Job on the VCR repository in the event of a complete failure on premise.
In the event of an accident, you can recover from backups stored in the VCR, to on premise, or to the De Novo cloud. In the case of Veeam agent, backup to VCR is available for Workstation, Server editions.
