Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements, including foreign economic contracts (export/import of goods, works and services), including contracts between non-resident entities
• Providing legal support for the company’s foreign economic operations
• Preparing legal opinions and consultations on matters related to:
  • international trade
  • private international law
  • international taxation
  • tax planning
  • foreign economic activity
• Preparing analytical materials, legal briefings and legislative reviews to support legal opinions and positions
• Preparing responses to requests from regulatory authorities
• Participating in negotiations with counterparties, including foreign partners
• Analyzing legislation of foreign jurisdictions
• Monitoring Ukrainian and international legislation related to foreign economic activity
• Conducting due diligence and monitoring of counterparties, including foreign entities
• Interacting with foreign legal advisors and consultants
• Performing assignments from the Head of the Legal Department

Mandatory Requirements

• Higher legal education
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a lawyer, including experience related to foreign economic activity
• Practical knowledge of:
  • commercial law
  • contract law
  • private international law
  • tax law
• Experience in drafting and supporting foreign economic contracts
• Experience working with foreign counterparties
• English language proficiency Upper-Intermediate or higher
  (ability to work with contracts, legal documentation and legislation of foreign jurisdictions)

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in foreign economic activity or international law
• Experience working in IT or technology companies
• Experience working with international contracts, including:
  • supply agreements
  • licensing agreements
  • service agreements
  • distribution agreements
• Experience participating in international negotiations
• Attorney license (certificate of the right to practice law) will be considered an advantage
• Experience working with foreign jurisdictions and international legal advisors

Working Conditions

• Official employment in accordance with Ukrainian labor legislation (employment record entry)
